Comparison between Apple iPhone And Samsung Galaxy

Right from the start, there has been a competition between Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy phones. In 2019, your main preference is going to be either an iPhone from the iPhone 11 series or Samsung Galaxy S10 or S9. You may also be looking at the premium Samsung Galaxy Note 10.

Phones produced by both of the brands are very expensive for obvious reasons. In this article, we are going to talk about phones from both of the brands to help you decide what you want to go for.

Apple iPhones vs. Samsung Galaxy S

We are going to talk about different features of phones from both of the brand for the sake of comparison. The features are generalized to give an overview. So, it is not about the specific phone models.

Design

While the concept of smartphone is pretty old, iPhone can be regarded as the practical pioneer here. The first iPhone was released in 2007 with a rounded, plastic shape. The newer iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max have sleeker glass design with the stainless steel band connecting the front and back of the phones. The newer models of iPhones are without the classic Home button, and overall design of the screen includes an edge-to-edge display which looks pretty amazing.

Much like iPhones, the newer Galaxy phones have evolved design which is quite different than what was there in the older models. The company has gotten rid of the all-plastic design.

Screen Quality

The display resolution on the newest iPhones is quite an increased one. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a screen resolution of 2,688 x 1,242 pixels. But Samsung seems to be the obvious winner with a screen resolution of 3,040 x 1,440 pixels in its latest Galaxy S10+.

Talking about the screen size comparison, the results are mixed. The 5.8-inch screen of iPhone 11 Pro is smaller than 6.1-inch screen of Galaxy S10. On the other hand, the screen size of iPhone 11 Pro Max (6.5 inches) is bigger than that of Galaxy S10+ (6.4 inches).

The display types are also different in the phones from both of the brands. The iPhones have Super Retina XDR OLED display while Samsung new models use AMOLED screens.

Camera

In the new iPhone series, Apple has finally decided to go with the triple-camera setup in its pro models. Each of these three cameras is 12MP lens.

Samsung has also been in the tough competition with the top smartphone brands. The S10+ comes with the triple camera setup that includes a 16MP ultra-wide camera.

Operating system

The different between operating systems is exactly the same as the difference between Apple and Samsung companies. Apple uses iOS as the operating system for iPhones. And since this operating system is owned by Apple, the manufacturer has more control over the apps and upgrades.

Samsung runs Android on its phones. This operating system is being run and managed by Google. While both of the companies tend to be on the same page, they sometimes end up having compatibility issues.
